10 miles into my 16 mile goal for the week, and I am exhausted. Started work this week and I love it, but holy cow keeping up with my workout will be a challenge. There is so little time and energy. On the up side I am so busy there is less time for food, so I eat much less. Perhaps everything will even itself out.

Back in the groove
This week was an awesome week for healthy living. I stayed under or at my calorie goals all week (except for moms night out) and I ran 13.15 miles and had one strength day plus a 3 mile walk with my husband. I woke up this morning a tad lighter than yesterday, very exciting!
I was having a lot of trouble sticking to my calorie goals when I had it set lower so I reset myfitnesspal to maintain my current weight and somehow just that has allows me to meet my old goal and sometimes eat less than that! I think it was all a mind thing. My problem was every time I ate even a tad over my old goal (set to lose 1lbs a week) I would feel defeated and frustrated. This lead to kind of a defeated attitude and giving up. But setting the limit higher gave me "wiggle room" which meant when I stayed lower I felt accomplished! That made it so much easier to meet my goals. So if you are struggling maybe give that a try.
My running goal for this week is 16 miles again, I am hoping this week I will actually get there. I start a new job this week on top of 5 classes so making the time will be tricky. Last week I was so close but I ended up with serve heartburn Friday night and didn't get any sleep so I just didn't make my run Saturday.
I feel enthusiastic and energized and excited about this week! I hope you do too. Here's a little weekly motivation to kick start your week.
